DPC2016 was a great year for our parish as we marked our sesquicentenary organized by John Holohan and his committee. Our main celebrations took place at the end of August when Archbishop Diarmuid Martin celebrated mass and the choir performed the same music that was used 150 years earlier. We welcomed current and many former clergy and parishioners to our events which included a historical tour of the Parish, a family fun day in Herbert Park, a photographic and memorabilia exhibition which was accompanied by an updated parish history book written by Colette Pegum. A particular welcome was extended to our former parish priest, Kevin Doran, now Bishop of Elphin, who said the Sunday Masses

Sacred Heart ChurchIn October 2004, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin asked each parish to set up a Parish Pastoral Council. The Pastoral Council of Sacred Heart Parish Donnybrook, established in 2006, provides an opportunity for parishioners to share in the task planning and coordinating pastoral action in the parish

Following a recent invitation to parishioners to join the Parish Pastoral·Council, the members of the Council for 2010/12 has been announced.

The present Parish Pastoral Council completes its 2nd year term at the end of September, and nominations of parishioners willing to serve on the new Council for 2008-2010 are now being sought.
